The Fort Lewis Golf Course was voted the number six course in all of the military by Travel and Leisure magazine. The course is one of the nicest in Western Washington, and was recently opened to the general public.

Located in the shadows of the majestic Mount Rainier, The course is a treasure of the Pacific Northwest. The course boasts an impressive design and perfectly groomed layout, which should make the ideal setting for a golfing experience to remember. The 27-hole championship course has exceptional greens, manicured fairways, and forgiving rough. It offers tee boxes that are designed for any level of golfer. To complement the course, Fort Lewis also has a full year practice facility that has 10 covered hitting areas which are both heated and lighted. There is also a driving range, complete with "natural grass" hitting areas to make the ultimate golfing experience.

In early November the course converts to its Winter Course, reverting back to its original 18-hole configuration. In late March, the course transitions to its Summer Course configuration of 27 holes. The exact dates for the changes are determined by the Management of the course and the Course Superintendent. You can call the pro shop for more information.
